As Christmas approaches one of the best activities you can do is go look at beautiful lights! Luckily, there are many places in Idaho to observe lights and do other holiday activities. Below I have listed my favorites and I included a gallery with photos.

Scentsy Commons in Meridian: Nov. 12- Jan. 16

  • Over 800,000 lights spread over 43 miles
  • 75 foot tall Christmas tree
  • Large tunnel to walk through

 

Botanical Gardens Winter Garden aGlow in Boise: Nov. 25- Dec. 31

  • Requires purchase of a ticket in advance
  • Free cookies and hot chocolate
  • Beautiful botanical gardens with the addition of about 500,000 lights
  • Bonfires spread throughout the venue to keep warm

 

Christmas in Color at Expo Idaho in Boise: Dec.- Jan. 2

  • Requires purchase of tickets in advance
  • Drive through with your car
  • Over a million animated lights
  • Synchronized to music on their custom radio station

 

Winter Wonderland in Caldwell: Nov. 19- Jan. 9

  • Free to walk around
  • Many other additional activities that require money
  • Ice skating
  • Santa visits
  • Food trucks
