The Pack is back! As the students reflected on their first week of school, the Timberline Paw Print selected two from each grade to learn about what they have appreciated so far and what they are looking forward to.
Our chosen sophomores both enjoyed their first days on campus. One, who was new to the Boise School District, commented that they met tons of new people. The other one hung out with people they had known since elementary school. Coming from a junior high with a limited lunch hour, they loved having an open campus lunch. They prefer eating lunch outside by the clock tower.
Both students were looking to the future when choosing their first semester classes. One wants to pursue a career involved with art, so they chose to take theater. The other has goals in the medical field, so they chose a health class.
Our juniors had a fun first week back. Both commented about enjoying time with their friends. They prefer eating lunch with them at off-campus locations, such as Dairy Queen, Chipotle, or Albertsons.
For our seniors, their last first day was bittersweet. One described it as “surreal.” Senior sunrise was a hit for the Class of 2026. The interviewed students are both looking forward to prom and graduation.

Seniors started off their year with a beautiful opportunity for connection at senior sunrise.
As they reflected on previous school years, one senior wished that Timberline had stronger wifi. This school year, they would prefer wifi that is reliable throughout the school to make work faster to complete.
A piece of advice the seniors offered for our sophomores is to get involved with clubs and school activities. They explained that you shouldn’t be afraid to talk to upperclassmen. Both agreed that you shouldn’t take high school too seriously – it goes by faster than you think.
