Timberline’s 2025 Homecoming week brought students together through spirit days, pep rallies, and one of the most highly attended dances in recent memory. Not only did the Timberline football team score in our homecoming game, it seems that our Student Council also scored one of the best dances in a while.
Like many years prior, Timberline has had a homecoming week celebrating Timberline’s football season beginning with the Homecoming game. But over time, it has grown into something more, a week-long celebration of school spirit and community. This year, four main events stood out: Spirit Week, Club Rush, the Homecoming game, and the Homecoming Dance. Spirit week and Club rush are one of the most important and unique parts of Timberline’s Homecoming week by celebrating the community of Timberline. Spirit week consisted of five days of a particular theme for students to wear, starting from Adam Sandler day, to Country v.s. Country Club day, The Tropics day, then USA day, and finally Class Colors day. If you weren’t dressing up, Club Rush offered another way to join in the fun. On the day of Club Rush, the event provided voices and advertising opportunity to almost 45 different clubs, from Climbing club, to Board games club, to animal volunteering clubs (like ARISE). During the event, you could also find a variety of food truck vendors that elevated the usual lunch, marking a highlight for many students looking for a treat or a way to join new activities.

Turning to the Football Homecoming game and the Homecoming dance, one could find overwhelming student support and the shoulder to shoulder crowded space for both events. After a record-breaking 61-7 win against Borah 08/29 for the first game of the season, it was no surprise for Timberline to continue to dominate and win with a 33-7 against Meridian High school on 09/19, marking a fourth win this season so far. The sheer support the football team has from the Timberline High School community is so significant that people were overlapping in seating simply to be able to fit on the bleachers.
On the very next day, at 7 p.m., was the Homecoming dance hosted at the Stuekle Sky Center. Ironically, the Horizon-themed dance came truly to life when the sun set at 7:45 pm. Just like the bleachers at the homecoming game, you can physically feel everyone jumping and shaking the floor, as students bounce from person to person within the energetic mosh pit created on the dance floor. Student Council picked one of the best spots for this year’s homecoming dance since the venue provided many opportunities for glorious pictures. Overall, many people deeply enjoyed the dance and the week that Student Council passionately prepared. One major question still stands for Student Council members, however: what will they do next?
