We always see the Timberline Silver Legacy dancers on the field, but for us, behind that spotlight is a mystery.

Audrie Seamons (Sr.) at Silver Legacy Team Photoshoot.
Audrie Seamons is a Senior on the dance team who gets to play a leadership role to the rest of the team with more of her senior teammates. Right now, the team is practicing for football games, and even though Silver Legacy is a big team this year, Seamons is proud of every girl on the team and how much effort they all put in each day. The team has spent many hours practicing for the games, learning new cheers and dances for the full music and for the student sections. This year is Seamon’s third year being part of the Silver Legacy, and she’s been dancing since she was five years old. Her inspiration for her passion with dance is that because dance is very subjective, it’s based on emotions and personal feeling, it builds a lot of character and teaches Seamons to push herself.

Annalise Berg (So.) at Silver Legacy Team Photoshoot.
Annalise Berg is a sophomore on the dance team for her second year. Both dancing and dance practice take up a lot of time during the day. Annalise said that to work around school, the dancers have practice in the morning twice a week. Their first competition isn’t until December, but Berg is very excited for competition season. As for the assemblies, she and the team had a lot of fun at the first assembly. Berg said, “My passion for dance is what inspires me, and my ability to express myself. Many other sports don’t allow you to be as expressive, and it is so fun to dance, even when it is stressful.”
