Hello! My name is Charlotte Meng and I’m a sophomore at Timberline High School. I was born in San Diego, California, and moved to Boise when I was two. During my junior high years, I enjoyed covering teacher spotlights for the monthly Treasure Valley Math & Science Center newsletter, which motivated me to join the newspaper staff. This year, I’m really excited to write about local initiatives, such as sustainability and events. Over the last three years, I’ve sharpened my interviewing and writing skills for feature articles and hope to bring a fresh perspective to the school newspaper. I also hope to write a cover story for the paper later this year. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, camping, and making snacks.
