As Nicole pulled herself away from cheer she found solace in writing, a passion she’d carried with her since 6th grade. The creamy white pages and black pens were where she could find herself. 

Nicole opened up, “It’s easier for me to express my opinions in writing rather than talking out loud”. But her written words speak just as loudly. A passionate environmentalist, Nicole aspires to study Environmental Science and English in college. To her, helping solve the issue of climate change is all about informing the public.

“Spreading awareness and trusting the facts are the ways forward” Nicole quips,  hopefulness lighting up her face. Originally, Nicole was interested in environmental law. But connection instead of argument struck a deeper chord with her, although the desire to make change was all the same.

“I want to do something that genuinely leaves an impact”, Nicole says.
