Sean Murphy, Staff Reporter
Hello, my name is Sean Murphy. I’m a sophomore at Timberline and I run track here. This is my first year at Timberline, and besides reading the newspaper and watching the news on TV, I joined the newspaper because it seemed like a fun, laid-back class where I could work at my own pace.
I’m interested in journalism because it allows me to write stories about my passions and interests. I’m excited about the opportunity to cover topics I care about. I’m very organized and like to set schedules to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. I aim to resolve problems and keep things running smoothly.
This year, I hope to write as many sports stories as possible, creating a well-organized and clean page. I also want to improve my interviewing skills and learn how to communicate my points more clearly.
Outside of journalism, I’m a mountain biker—though I don’t race for Timberline yet, I’m considering it. I enjoy playing catch and flag football with my friends, and we often ride around, chase each other on our bikes, and try to make each other crash for fun.
