Timberline Lacrosse Updates

April 3, 2022

Hey Wolves! As Spring Sports begin at our school the Timberline Paw Print is here to bring you all the updates and information about the upcoming events! An interesting sport to get excited for this year is the boys and girls Lacrosse teams. Both teams are highly competitive club sports and you won’t be disappointed when watching their games.

Boys Lacrosse

The Timberline boy’s Lacrosse team has been around much longer than the girl’s team and has proven to be a team full of success. Timberline holds eight Lacrosse state titles and we hope to see this year’s team secure another one! I spoke with one of the coaches in regards to their 2022 season, in his statement he told me, “We want to give any and all of our Timberline Athletes the opportunity to play lacrosse at the highest levels of high school competition in the state. With eight state championships, Timberline is the most successful program in the state and we are in a strong position to compete for a state title once again this year.” I asked what the goals are for the Lacrosse program and he said, “Foster a culture of unparalleled competition, work ethic, and sportsmanship.” The Timberline Lacrosse program holds many strong values and shows consistency in their performance on the field as well. If you find time this spring you won’t want to miss out on watching their games! Home games are held at East Junior high and supporting every game is definitely worth the time.

Girls Lacrosse

The girl’s Lacrosse team is fairly new at Timberline and was only created in 2019. In that short amount of time, the team has already come a long way. It’s only the second year for this new program, compared to the boy’s team that has been around for over ten years. Each year the team gets bigger and better than the previous one. Since girl’s Lacrosse isn’t a very common sport, many of the athletes on our team are fairly inexperienced or are brand new to the sport in general but the team puts in countless

hours of hard work to learn and grow together. The players grow more individually and as a team every year. As their knowledge and experience improve we are excited to see this program pick up steam and turn into something amazing! Be sure to check out their homes games held at East Junior high this season, Go Wolves!
