Here at Timberline there’s an endless amount of clubs you can join. From Checkers Club, Pride Club and Fortify there’s a club for everyone. Don’t be scared to join a club because they are always accepting new members. Sometimes with the amount of clubs Timberline has to offer, you don’t know which one is a perfect fit for you. I asked different founders and members of different clubs, trying to help people decide on which club is a good fit for them.
Why Should People Join?
Celia Strouf (So.) “People should join the Badminton Club because we welcome every skill level of players. We encourage the growth of our players & enjoy being able to show off the sport of badminton.”
Molly Hoffpauir (So.) “People should join Fortify if they want to be social and learn about those around them and it also looks great for college applications.
Morgan Churchill (So.) “Because (Checkers Club) it’s a good way to interact with your friends and it’s just a chill environment where people can eat snacks, have fun and enjoy a game of checkers.
You can even start a club if you can’t find the right one for you. It’s super easy and is a great way to meet new people who all have a common interest. Some students might even be waiting to start a club but are too scared to try.
Why did you start your Club?
Morgan Churchill (So.) “Because me and one of my friends shared a common interest in checkers and found it super fun and we wanted everyone to experience that fun with us.”
Celia Storuf (So.) “We started the Badminton Club to expose more people to the spirit of badminton and to have fun at lunch.”
Don’t be afraid to join a club because it’s a great way for everyone to meet new people in all different grades and have new experiences that you’ll have for the rest of your life.
