On February 10th and 11th the Timberline Chamber Orchestra performed with the Boise Baroque Orchestra (BBO) at the First Presbyterian Church. BBO is a public orchestra that performs classic baroque pieces with their own unique rendition. Every year Boise Baroque works with one high school or college to put on a concert, and this year director Robert Franz worked with Timberline’s director and member of BBO, Micah Claffey, to have Timberline’s chamber orchestra perform. It was a long month of intense practice, but it definitely paid off! The orchestra got to learn about how to play in the Baroque style and got to use real baroque bows in their rehearsals and performance. The group learned a lot, sounded great, and received lots of positive feedback from BBO and the audience!
