Timberline Varsity Football team was riding high after beating the Capital Golden Eagles 21 – 0 in Timberline’s Home Coming Game last week. However, their next game was going to be a tough match up against the Vikings @ Middleton. This was yet another slow-paced game (similar to that of Timberline vs. Meridian that took place two weeks ago). Middleton goes up by 7 in the first quarter, shortly followed by a 6-yard touchdown by tight end, junior: Sam Haener off a designed quarterback roll out by junior: Jack Brant. The scoreboard would remain 7 – 7 for the rest of the first half and sadly a Timberline receiver exited the game with a broken collarbone. The Vikings would then strike back with two more touchdowns, leaving Timberline with half the 4th quarter to mount a comeback. Timberline was able to cut the lead to a one score game coming from a tipped pass landing in Timberline receiver senior: Hudson O’Kelley’s hands. However, the Vikings defense was too much for the Wolfpack to overcome, resulting in a Middleton victory of 21 to 14, over Timberline.
According to Max Preps, Timberline ranks 10th in the Idaho Division 6A Conference. Come see the Wolfpack’s Senior Night game against the Centennial Patriots this Thursday at Dona Larson Field.
