March 28th, 2026 marked the third national No Kings protest. Attendees marched across the country. Boise’s event was organized by Idaho 50501, the Idaho coalition of the “50 states, 50 protests, 1 movement” union. The city had an impressive turnout of over 5,000 protesters, according to the Idaho Statesman. However, some reports estimated a whopping 10,000 people. The event was held to oppose Donald Trump, among other topics such as war, ICE, and discrimination.

A man in a banana costume handed out pins of various sizes that said “NO KINGS.”

Some people dressed up, such as this person wearing an outfit from The Handmaid’s Tale.

An older man held two flags with the “NO KINGS” symbol attached to the top.

Many signs protested the ongoing conflicts in Iran. Countless others criticized ICE for its actions.

Multiple booths were set up by organizations such as Babe Vote. This booth was teaching and preaching women’s rights.
The Idaho Capitol building has seen a multitude of protests from all different political sides in the past year. This may signal that more people are getting politically involved, but it may also mean an increasing political division.
