This year was an outstanding year for a ton of our sports teams here at Timberline. Lots of amazing athletes showed how truly great they are and need to be recognized for their success. Here are our all-stars from our fall and winter sports.
We had an amazing year in football, finishing second in the state. Our players were outstanding. Hudson Lewis (Sr.) won the 6A player of the year. Along with Jack Brant (Sr.) as offensive player of the year and Andrew Price (Sr.) as trenches player of the year. Going along with those, Coach Ian Smart won football coach of the year.
The swim team got many achievements. The boys got third place in state and academic champions, and the girls got fifth in state.
Our girls’ cross-country team got second in the state!
Girls’ soccer also had a great season, winning the state championship. Maura Walters (Sr.) got selected for the state first team. With that, their coach, Maison O´Neill, won coach of the year for girls’ soccer.
The boys on the golf team got second in the state, with Luke Drescher (Sr.) tying for third. The girls got 6th in districts as well.
Our volleyball team had a good season, getting third in the state, and had Hazel Goetz (Sr.), who got an honorable mention and made the all-star team. Along with this achievement, Carol Klein was named coach of the year.
Wrestling also had a good season with Kyra Cobb (Sr.) coming out 5th in the state.
The boys’ basketball team did well, making it to the state playoffs. We had both JD Focarile (Sr.) and Kole Hudson (Sr.) making the basketball all-star team.
Lastly, our girls’ basketball team also made it to the state playoffs and had Emmi Swillie (Sr.), Lexi Moore (Sr.), and Gabi Iglesias (Sr.) all get picked for the all-star team.
This year’s seniors are unmatched and will forever leave an impact on our school.
